Amelia is a Clinical Psychologist in Mt Gravatt, Brisbane/Meanjin. She provides evidence-based therapy within a compassionate, person-centred framework, taking the time to understand each client’s unique experiences, needs, and goals.
Amelia has experience supporting individuals across the lifespan in a range of settings, including forensic and community mental health services. She has worked with both young people and adults experiencing complex mental health challenges, and brings this breadth of experience into her thoughtful, individualised approach to therapy.
Amelia’s therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing on evidence-based frameworks including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Brief Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
Amelia is dedicated to creating a warm, non-judgemental space where clients feel safe, understood, and supported. Her approach is collaborative, conversational, and led by the individual, ensuring sessions are thoughtfully tailored to what matters most to each person. Above all, Amelia supports clients in fostering well-being, personal growth, and a sense of vitality in their lives.

The initial consultation focuses on understanding the reasons for seeking support, developing a shared understanding of the presenting challenges, and creating a tailored treatment plan.

Individual therapy standard consultation
Ongoing consultations involve the use of evidence-based interventions to help navigate psychological challenges. Each session is designed to equip individuals with insight and practical tools, supporting continued growth and progress between appointments.

The Australian Psychological Society 2024-2025 Recommended Schedule of fees has set the standard 46 to 60 minute consultation fee at $311.00 Providing an affordable service is important to us so our fees are set below this recommendation.
Funding
Medicare
With a Mental Health Care Plan referral from your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician you will be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Medicare rebates are processed overnight.
Private Health
If you have private health insurance, you may also qualify for a rebate through your fund. Please speak with your private health fund directly to determine your eligibility.
Please note that you cannot claim both Medicare and Private Health rebates for the same session. Private health insurance rebates will need to be claimed directly with your insurer.
NDIS
Individuals on the NDIS may be eligible to claim sessions under their plan. For eligibility and funding details, it’s recommended to speak directly with the provider or check your NDIS plan.

Registration as a Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA).
